Flo

Fire Dog Flo

Fire Dog Flow became part of the Mt. Pleasant Fire Department family in December 2022, and serves as the mascot and crumb cleaner of the Fire Department. Flow’s story began after she had been dumped on the property of an elderly couple in Summertown, after trying to find her owners for weeks, realizing she had most likely been abandoned and unable to take care of them their selves they came to Fire Station 82 asking if we would take her because they could not bare taking her to the dog pound. Without hesitation all the Firefighter’s agreed that Flow’s new home was at the Fire Dept. All expenses for Flow are covered by the Mount Pleasant Firefighter’s Association which is completely funded by employees of the Fire Dept.

Some of Flow’s favorite things to do as Fire Dog is visit with guests that come to the Station, visit with the local children during Fire Prevention Week and other Public Education events at the Schools and around the City, and periodically respond on calls with the Firefighters.

Flow’s favorite part of her day is when she gets to ride with Chief Stewart to City Hall and be spoiled with treats from City staff.
