The City of Mount Pleasant will accept sealed bids for E Merchant Street repair. Sealed bids will be received by Shiphrah Cox, Director of Finance, Mount Pleasant City Hall, 100 Public Square, Mount Pleasant, TN 38474 until Wednesday, February 12th, 2025 at 2:00 pm all bids will be opened and publicly read. Copies of bid specifications may be obtained at Mount Pleasant City Hall, Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm except for holidays, or at www.mtpleasant-tn.gov. The City of Mount Pleasant reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities therein and to award the bid in the City’s best interest.

The Mount Pleasant Planning Commission will meet in regular session on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at 6:00 pm in the Tom Hardin Room at City Hall.
A. Applicant Doster Construction Company on behalf of Maury Regional Airport Authority has submitted application for a new 5,436 square foot Airport Terminal to be located at 1200 N Main Street better described as Map 127, Parcel 041.00. The property is zoned IL Light Industrial.

The Mount Pleasant Board of Zoning Appeals will meet on Thursday, February 20, 2025 at 6:00 pm in the Tom Hardin Room at City Hall.
The Mount Pleasant Board of Zoning Appeals will hear the following:
A. Applicant, Owner Montrae Osborne at 519 Gant St tax map 133N group A parcel 8.00. The applicant is seeking a variance for the 15-foot side setbacks to a 10-foot side set back and the front 30-foot set back to a 25-foot set back to construct a new single-family home. The property is zoned R-1 Low Density Residential.

The Mount Pleasant City Commission will meet in regular session on Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at 6:00 pm in the Tom Hardin Room at City Hall.
The following items will be on the agenda for public hearing, discussion and approval:
(a) Ordinance 2025-1129 – (Public Hearing/Final Reading) - An Ordinance to amend Ordinance 2024-1125 said ordinance appropriating the revenues and expenses of operating and maintaining the departmental functions of the City of Mount Pleasant, Tennessee for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2024 and ending June 30, 2025; providing an effective date.
(b) Ordinance 2025-1130 – (Public Hearing/Final Reading) - An Ordinance amending Title 14, Zoning and Land Use Control, Chapter 2, Zoning Ordinance, of the Mount Pleasant Municipal Code, the same being the Zoning Ordinance for the City of Mount Pleasant, Tennessee, including the Municipal Zoning Map incorporated therein by rezoning a property from Light Industrial (IL) to High Density Residential (R-3). Approved Rezone – Magnolia Drive
