The Mount Pleasant Fire Department, in partnership with the University of Tennessee Municipal Technical Advisory Service (MTAS), is proud to announce the development of a new, community-driven strategic plan aimed at guiding the department’s future direction and priorities.

This important initiative is designed to ensure the Fire Department continues to meet the evolving needs of the community while strengthening emergency response services, operational effectiveness, and firefighter safety. Central to this effort is meaningful input from residents, businesses, and community stakeholders.

Community participation will play a critical role in shaping the strategic plan. Feedback gathered through this process will help the department:

  • Better understand the needs and expectations of the community

  • Identify opportunities for improvement

  • Establish clear priorities for future services and operations

Residents and stakeholders are encouraged to take a few minutes to complete a brief survey and share their perspectives. The information collected will directly inform decisions made by City and Fire Department leadership, helping to ensure resources are aligned with community priorities and that services continue to enhance public safety and well-being.

“The success of this strategic plan depends on the voices of those we serve,” said department leadership. “We are committed to building a plan that reflects our community’s values and strengthens our ability to protect lives and property.”

The Mount Pleasant Fire Department extends its sincere appreciation to all participants for their time, input, and continued support.
